Once a path is strong enough, the user should be able to leave discovery mode and enter the introductions workflow without redoing context. Request intro composer in Introd

When to request an intro

Request an intro only after you have reviewed the path and confirmed that the connector is credible, the evidence is recent enough, and the ask is specific. A strong request protects the connector’s trust as much as it helps you reach the target.

What should carry into the request

The handoff should preserve:
  • the target person
  • the recommended connector
  • the reason the intro matters now
  • enough context for the connector to decide quickly

Prefill expectations

  • target person
  • recommended connector
  • reason the intro matters now
  • enough context for the connector to decide quickly
  • path evidence and mutual context
  • response expectations when enough prior data exists

Composer checklist

Before sending, confirm:
  • the connector is the right person to ask
  • the message is short enough to forward
  • context is specific and relevant
  • attachments are useful, not excessive
  • the request gives the connector an easy way to decline

Guardrail

Do not prefill weak or low-confidence routes as if they are ready to send. The compose flow should preserve uncertainty when the graph is uncertain.
