# Understand Strength, Confidence, and Evidence

> A cautious guide to the relationship signals shown in Introd.

Introd presents several signals alongside warm paths and network activity. Read them as product indicators, then verify the real-world context.

## Signal guide

| Signal | What it means in the interface | What it does not mean |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Path Strength      | A `/100` ranking signal for a route shown in the warm-path view.                                  | A person's trust score or a guaranteed outcome.                 |
| Estimated success | A directional percentage attached to the selected route. | A promise that an introduction, reply, or meeting will happen. |
| Relationship label | A category such as **Strong**, **Moderate**, or **Limited** attached to available route evidence. | Proof that the people have a current relationship. |
| Graph confidence | A confidence indicator shown for paths and network summaries. | Consent, verified intent, or ground truth about a person. |
| Evidence reasons | The reasons and context Introd can display for the route. | Independent verification that every underlying fact is current. |

## Interpret a result

Start with the named people and evidence, not the number:

1. Confirm the profile identities.
2. Read the visible reasons and mutual context.
3. Check whether the evidence matches what you know about the relationship.
4. Compare alternate routes for the same target.
5. Confirm willingness before making an introduction request.

<Warning>
  Strength and confidence describe the evidence available to the product. They do not authorize outreach, establish consent, or measure a person's character.
</Warning>

## Unknown is different from weak

An empty evidence list, unavailable score, or **No signal** message indicates missing or insufficient recorded evidence. It does not establish that the relationship is weak.

Likewise, a populated score does not make stale or unfamiliar context true. If the reasons do not match your understanding, pause and verify the connector and target before acting.

## Improve the view

* Confirm that you selected the correct target profile.
* Finish the relevant network sync.
* Update the introduction record only when an outcome is confirmed.
* Refresh the view after new evidence is available.

Introd may show different results as the available network and outcome evidence changes.
