# Prepare an Introduction from People

> Carry a reviewed person and connector into an Introd introduction draft.

After reviewing a person and path, choose **Request intro** to open the composer with the available target and connector context.

## Before opening the composer

Confirm:

* the target is the correct person;
* the proposed connector is someone you can appropriately ask;
* the path explanation matches the relationship you understand;
* the request has a specific, relevant purpose; and
* weak or missing evidence has not been treated as certainty.

## In the composer

1. Check the **To** connector and the target shown in the path rail.
2. Review and edit the subject and message.
3. Remove any generated or prefilled claim you cannot personally verify.
4. Use **Save draft** when the request still needs review.
5. Use **Send request** only when the workspace setup check passes and the request is ready to enter the Introd tracking workflow.

  **Send request** records the request as pending in Introd. The current workflow does not deliver an email or LinkedIn message for you. Confirm and perform any external outreach through the approved channel yourself.

The target, connector, subject, message, path strength, and available evidence can be stored with the Introd request. Review the created item on the [Introductions](/introductions) page.

If the selected route is not credible, close the composer and return to [View and verify paths](/people/view-paths).
