# Quick Start

> Follow the verified path from account creation to a saved warm-introduction draft.

This guide ends with a saved draft. It does not send an introduction request.

> Last verified against current product source on August 11, 2026.

## Prerequisites

* A current desktop version of Chrome
* A LinkedIn account signed in in the same Chrome profile
* An Introd-provided extension testing build
* One real person in your network to search for
* Optional: a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account for additional relationship metadata

If you do not have an approved extension build, contact [help@getintrod.ai](mailto:help@getintrod.ai). Do not install a copy from an unverified source.

## 1. Create your account

Open [Create your Introd account](https://app.getintrod.ai/sign-up).

You can create an account with:

* work email and password
* Google
* LinkedIn

Microsoft account creation is not available on the authentication page. Connect Microsoft 365 after you are signed in.

**Expected result:** Introd opens [Network Setup](https://app.getintrod.ai/setup-network).

## 2. Connect the extension

Before installing, read [LinkedIn Integration](/chrome-extension/linkedin-integration). The shipped defaults capture visible LinkedIn identity and relationship fields while you browse, separately from the full-network import started below.

1. Install the Introd-provided build using [the installation guide](/chrome-extension/installation).
2. Open the extension popup.
3. Choose **Continue with LinkedIn** and finish the opened sign-in flow.
4. Reopen the popup after sign-in completes.

**Expected result:** Extension Setup marks **Introd account connected** and **Logged into LinkedIn** when both sessions are detected.

## 3. Start a LinkedIn sync

1. Keep LinkedIn open and signed in.
2. Open the extension popup.
3. Choose **Start Sync**.
4. Watch the imported count and sync status.

**Expected result:** the popup shows Syncing, Partial, Paused, Retrying, or Sync complete. An incomplete run can continue automatically in an inactive LinkedIn connections tab. Partial does not mean that already imported records were lost. Choose **Pause Sync** when you want automatic full-network resume to stop.

## 4. Verify the source in Introd

Open [Integrations](https://app.getintrod.ai/settings/integrations) or [Network Setup](https://app.getintrod.ai/setup-network).

Verify that LinkedIn has an imported count or connected state. If you connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, complete the provider consent flow and check each source independently.

## 5. Find a person

1. Open [People Search](https://app.getintrod.ai/search/people).
2. Search by name, title, or company.
3. Select a result.
4. Choose **View Paths**.

**Expected result:** Introd shows available paths and evidence, or a truthful empty or still-syncing state.

## 6. Save an introduction draft

1. From the selected person or path, choose **Request intro**.
2. Confirm the target and connector.
3. Review the subject and message.
4. Choose **Save draft**.
5. Open [Introductions](https://app.getintrod.ai/introductions).

**Expected result:** Introd reports **Intro draft saved**, and the record is available in Introductions.

## Common failure states

## Limitations

* Imported totals can be lower than LinkedIn's visible total.
* A completed sync does not guarantee a path to a particular person.
* TrustRank and confidence values are decision-support signals, not promises of an introduction or outcome.
* Delivery and scheduling are outside this verified draft workflow.
* Pausing a full-network sync does not stop contextual identity capture during ordinary LinkedIn browsing. Disable the extension in Chrome to stop its code from running on LinkedIn pages.
