# Create an Account

> Create an Introd account with a supported authentication method and enter Network Setup.

Open [Create your Introd account](https://app.getintrod.ai/sign-up).

## Supported methods

| Method             | Current behavior                                               |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Email and password | Creates an account after the form passes validation            |
| Google             | Opens Google authentication and returns to Introd              |
| LinkedIn           | Opens LinkedIn authentication and returns to Introd            |
| Microsoft          | Not available for account creation or sign-in on the auth page |

Microsoft 365 can be connected later from [Integrations](https://app.getintrod.ai/settings/integrations).

## Create an account with email

1. Enter your first and last name.
2. Enter a valid work email.
3. Create a password with at least eight characters and at least one number.
4. Enter the same password in **Confirm password**.
5. Review and accept the [Terms of Service](https://getintrod.ai/legal/terms) and [Privacy Policy](https://getintrod.ai/legal/privacy).
6. Choose **Create account**.

**Expected result:** Introd starts an authenticated browser session and opens [Network Setup](https://app.getintrod.ai/setup-network).

## Create an account with Google or LinkedIn

1. Choose the Google or LinkedIn button.
2. Complete the provider's consent and authentication page.
3. Return to Introd.

**Expected result:** the provider callback creates or restores the Introd session and continues to Network Setup.

## Failure states

| Message or symptom                                                  | Recovery                                                                         |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Please enter your first and last name                               | Complete both name fields                                                        |
| Please enter a valid email address                                  | Correct the email format                                                         |
| Password must be at least 8 characters                              | Use a longer password                                                            |
| Password must include at least one number                           | Add a numeric character                                                          |
| Passwords do not match                                              | Re-enter the confirmation                                                        |
| Account created, but the authenticated session could not be started | Open [Sign in](https://app.getintrod.ai/sign-in) and use the account you created |
| Provider callback returns an error                                  | Return to Sign in and retry the same provider                                    |
| Microsoft sign-up is not available                                  | Use email, Google, or LinkedIn, then connect Microsoft 365 after sign-in         |

## Security notes

* Enter your provider credentials only on the provider's own authentication page.
* Introd's extension does not ask for your LinkedIn password.
* Never send a password, OAuth code, access token, or extension build to support.
