# Companies

> Find companies represented in your network and review the people and paths connected to them.

Use **Companies** to move from an account name to the people in your network who may provide a credible path in.

## Before you start

Company results are assembled from people and relationship records already available to Introd. If the page is empty or an expected company is missing, first review [Network Setup](/setup-network) and the status of your connected sources.

## A reliable company workflow

    Enter a company name or another visible company attribute, then submit the search.

  <Step title="Narrow the result set">
    Use the available tabs to focus on reachable companies, strategic targets, companies already in warm paths, or records that need enrichment. Sort by relevance, contacts, warm paths, or company name.

  <Step title="Open a company row">
    Review the number of people, available warm paths, coverage label, and connector summary. These are workspace-specific signals, not a guarantee that someone will make an introduction.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Inspect the people behind the company">
    Continue to the relevant person or path before preparing a request. Company-level reach always depends on a real person and current relationship context.

## What the main fields mean

| Field             | Interpretation                                                                              |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Warm paths        | Paths currently returned from the relationship graph for people associated with the company |
| Strong connectors | People whose available relationship evidence is stronger than the alternatives shown        |
| Coverage          | A relative summary based on the paths and people currently available to your workspace      |
| People            | People associated with the company in the current result set                                |

  A company appearing as reachable does not confirm that a connector is willing, available, or appropriate. Review the individual path before asking anyone to spend social capital.
